The Story

For many students, the journey to higher education begins with a single examination. But for families facing financial challenges, even the cost of registering for the UTME can become a barrier.

For the 2026 UTME, St. Hannah Foundation stepped in to help remove that barrier.

Through its education support initiative, the Foundation paid the UTME registration fees for all students who applied for the scholarship, giving them the opportunity to register for the examination without the financial burden standing in their way.

But the support did not end with registration.

Recognising that paying the examination fee was only the beginning, St. Hannah Foundation partnered with an educational consulting institute to provide additional support to the students.

The students received mentorship, examination preparation and academic tutorial support, helping them understand what to expect, prepare more effectively and make the most of the opportunity they had been given.

The aim was simple: not just to help students register for the UTME, but to help them prepare for it.

For these students, the support meant one less financial barrier and a stronger support system as they took an important step towards higher education.

More Than Registration

Education support is not simply about providing access. It is about creating the conditions for young people to take advantage of that access.

By combining UTME sponsorship with mentorship, examination preparation and academic support, St. Hannah Foundation sought to give these students more than a paid registration.

It gave them preparation, guidance and encouragement for the journey ahead.
