Restoring Dignity, Renewing Hope for Widows
More than 500 widows gathered for a day of compassion, generosity and joy, receiving essential items and renewed hope for themselves and their families.

On 24 December 2025, St. Hannah Foundation gathered with widows at 35 Ilaje Road, Bariga, Lagos, for a special outreach centred on dignity, compassion and hope.
More than 500 widows showed up, far beyond what the Foundation initially expected. They came from different communities and different circumstances, but shared in a day filled with generosity, joy and love.

Widows received food items, cleaning supplies, footwear, clothing and many other essential items. The turnout was overwhelming, with more people attending than the Foundation was able to fully accommodate.
Yet beyond the items distributed was something even more meaningful: joy. The gratitude and happiness expressed by the widows made the day deeply memorable. For many, it was a reminder that they were seen, valued and not forgotten.

The impact also extended to the next generation. Some children of the widows were awarded free UTME support for 2026, creating another opportunity for them to pursue their educational dreams.
This was more than an outreach. It was a moment of dignity, community, compassion and renewed hope.

And it is only the beginning.
The next edition is planned for 24 December 2026, with the Foundation hoping to reach and support even more widows and families.
